Online bookmakers, Betfree, have analysed the Google search data of all 29 Premier League managers across the UK and worldwide.
Four templates were used alongside each manager, including [manager] manager, [manager] football, [manager] soccer, [manager] Premier League.
The combined search volume for each manager’s terms was calculated over the past 12 months and then used to rank the managers from the highest number of average monthly searches to the lowest in both the UK and globally.

Arne Slot is the UK’s most popular Premier League manager, with an average of 263,489 searches reported per month. Globally, Slot is Googled an average of 1.2 million times per month, ranking second worldwide.
Slot's attacking style of play is praised by Liverpool fans as he keeps the team at the top of the table.
Coverage of Slot’s success has amplified his global profile as fans continue to discuss his tactics and potential.
Manchester United's newly appointed manager, Ruben Filipe Marques Diogo Amorim, is the UK’s second most popular manager, with a monthly average 186,893 Google searches reported.
Globally, Amorim also ranks third with 821,647 searches reported per month.
Ruben Amorim has been highly successful as the manager of Sporting CP in Lisbon, and since November 11 he began a new venture at Old Trafford.
With four major trophies, his managerial success has established him as one of the most promising young coaches in Europe.
Pep Guardiola is the UK’s third favourite manager, with an average of 186,426 searches reported per month.
Globally, Pep ranks the most popular manager, with 1.35 million searches worldwide.
Since joining Manchester City in 2016, Guardiola has transformed the club into one of the most successful teams in the Premier League.
Across the globe, Guardiola’s prior success with Bayern Munich and Barcelona led up to his Premier League arrival.
As of December 2024, Pep Guardiola has won 35 major trophies in his managerial career across different clubs.
Eddie Howe is the UK’s fourth most popular Premier League manager, with an average of 121,518 searches reported per month. He ranks 9th globally, with 171,211 searches per month worldwide.
Currently managing Newcastle United, Howe has become one of the most respected figures in English football.
Howe was appointed Newcastle United manager in November 2021, shortly after the club's Saudi-backed takeover.
Eddie Howe has won 3 major trophies in his managerial career as of December 2024.
The UK’s fifth most popular manager is Ruud van Nistelrooy, as the newly appointed Leicester manager, he is Googled an average of 107,692 times per month. Globally, van Nistelrooy is the fifth most popular manager, with 523,222 searches.
He is renowned for his prolific playing career, transitioned into football management with a series of notable appointments.
Van Nistelrooy began his managerial journey with PSV's youth teams, leading the U19 and U21 squads. In July 2024, he returned to Manchester United as an assistant coach under Erik ten Hag.
On November 29, 2024, van Nistelrooy was appointed head coach of Leicester City, succeeding Steve Cooper.
The most popular managers globally ranking sixth through to tenth are Mikel Arteta, Ange Postecoglou, Unai Emery, Eddie Howe, and Kieran McKenna.
Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espírito Santo is the least popular manager across the UK and worldwide.
