In a recent study conducted by online casino comparison service Casino Alpha, the highest-earning player on the provisional England squad has been crowned.
Using data from Instagram and Influencer Marketing Hub, the study analyses each players’ follower count, average likes per post, average comments per post, and engagement rate to determine the average earnings for each player.
Influencers make money from Instagram by partnering with brands on sponsored posts, with more follower engagement equalling a higher rate to post.
The player who earns the most money on Instagram is Jude Bellingham, the popular Real Madrid midfielder, who could make a whopping £65,809 per sponsored Instagram post. This is almost double the typical UK salary of £35,464.
Harry Kane - captain of the England squad and Bayern Munich striker - is second in the ranking, earning an impressive £35,395 per sponsored post. Liverpool player Trent Alexander Arnold ranks third, at an average of £23,286 per #ad.
Manchester City’s Phil Foden is fourth on the list with average earnings of £20,021, while teammate Jack Grealish is fifth with £19,168 per sponsored post.

On the other end of the scale is Adam Wharton, who plays for Crystal Palace, he earns an average of just £311 per post - over 200 times less than Jude Bellingham.
Second to bottom on the list is Lewis Dunk, who plays for Brighton & Hove Albion and earns slightly more at £373 per post.
Everton player, Jarrad Branthwaite ranks third to last at £374 per post, while Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford is fourth to last, earning £412 per #ad. Ezri Konsa is the fifth lowest earner, making an average of £601 per post.

Speaking on the findings, a Casino Alpha spokesperson said: “The online earnings of the England squad show the impressive influence that the most popular players have, with the top-earner raking in almost double the typical UK salary with just one sponsored post – and we know that footballers aren’t shy of a sponsorship deal.
“It’ll be interesting to see how the follower counts of the players vary over time, and especially interesting to see which brands are willing to spring for the top endorsement fees as the Euros get underway.”
