In a recent study conducted by online casino comparison service Casino Alpha, the highest-earning player on the provisional England squad has been crowned.

Using data from Instagram and Influencer Marketing Hub, the study analyses each players’ follower count, average likes per post, average comments per post, and engagement rate to determine the average earnings for each player.

Speaking on the findings, a Casino Alpha spokesperson said: “The online earnings of the England squad show the impressive influence that the most popular players have, with the top-earner raking in almost double the typical UK salary with just one sponsored post – and we know that footballers aren’t shy of a sponsorship deal.

“It’ll be interesting to see how the follower counts of the players vary over time, and especially interesting to see which brands are willing to spring for the top endorsement fees as the Euros get underway.”
