Nebulossa sees surge of streams following Eurovision final

Eurovision 2024: Which finalists have received the biggest boost in Spotify streams?

  • Baby Lasagna earns the biggest increase in song streams out of all Eurovision finalists
  • Disqualified contestant Joost Klein receives a bigger increase in streams than competition winner Nemo, landing second in the ranking
  • Nebulossa make the top ten increase in streams, despite coming 22nd in the competition

The Eurovision Song Contest 2024 has been championed by artist Nemo from Switzerland – but which finalists have achieved the most streaming success?

Experts at Jeffbet.com have analysed the Spotify streams of each Eurovision finalist’s entry song, before and after the final, to determine which ones have witnessed the most significant increase following the competition.

In first place is Baby Lasagna, whose song Rim Tim Tagi Dim has received a boost of 2,983,716 streams.

Croatian Baby Lasagna came second to Switzerland’s Nemo, who had 44 more points in the competition. However, Nemo’s song The Code has received less streams since the contest with 1,084,862.

Second place is awarded to disqualified contestant Joost Klein. Joost Klein was not present for the final – but despite this, he has received a boost of 2,920,738 streams for his song Europapa.

Coming third is Italy’s Angelina Mango, who has witnessed an increase of 2,741,242 streams for her song La Noia since coming 7th in the competition on May 11th.

Mango’s entry song had more streams than any other contestant prior to the competition, with La Noia having 59,541,291 before the final of the competition aired.

Fourth is Ukraine’s act alyona alyona & Jerry Heil, who came in third place with their song Teresa & Maria, which was awarded 453 points. The song has since gained a boost of 2,507,685 streams on Spotify.

At number five is Sweden’s entry Marcus & Martinus. The established Norwegian stars represented Sweden with Unforgettable, which has seen an increase of 2,170,615 streams following the Eurovision final.

In sixth is Slimane, France’s entry, who nearly didn’t perform his song Mon Amour due to vocal strain. The ballad has achieved an increase of 1,906,999 streams since his performance which placed him fourth in the competition.

Ireland’s Bambie Thug takes the seventh spot, with their song Doomsday Blue. The ouija pop song has gained a boost of 1,700,677 Spotify streams since May 11th, when Bambie Thug reached 6th place in the Eurovision Song Contest.

In eighth position is Lithuania’s Silvester Belt. Belt performed his song Luktelk, which led him to placing 14th in the contest. Since then, his song has witnessed an increase of 1,446,878 streams on Spotify.

Coming in ninth is Spain’s Nebulossa. During the final, the crowd passionately sang along to their song ZORRA as if it were an established hit, but despite this the act came 22nd in the contest.

Regardless of this, the pop song appears to be successful, as it has garnered a boost of 1,377,027 Spotify streams since Nebulossa’s Eurovision performance.

At number ten is Germany’s ISAAK, who came 12th in the competition with his song Always on the Run. Since the performance, the song has attracted 1,282,985 streams on Spotify.

A spokesperson from Jeffbet.com commented on the findings:

“It is fascinating to see the success of this year’s Eurovision contestants compared to the results of the competition.

“The fact that these acts have gained more streams than the competition’s winner reflects just how much the contest is impacted by voting obstacles and juries.

“We look forward to witnessing the progression of this year’s Eurovision contestants’ careers.”

Spotify was used to collect song streams of the contest entries before the competition (May 9th) and after (May 13th ).

An increase was then calculated to determine which acts had received the most streams since the Eurovision Song Contest aired.
